Not heard either, but I'll see Rock City Angels on Tuesday night.
I'll go with Electric Angels, personally, though I don't have any cds by them (just a cdr) I do have one by Rock City Angels, however.

Electric, Electric, Electric! RCA were also cool, but there's no contest here! If you don't have these, you NEED to add them to your collection. Get a copy of 'The Loveless' too--post EA project also killer. See 'em on ebay every so often.
I'll go with Electric Angels - way cool band
for all the hype RCA got for having Johnny Depp in the band their first release was a big let down.
i'm going with The Electric Angels by a mile. got to see them a few times live and they put on an awesome show. Shane reminded me of a black haired Mike Monroe on stage. Nice guys as wel.
<font size="3" face="Arial">Don't forget, the hype machine around RCA wasn't just about Johnny Depp. There's also the stories involving Guns and Roses. I agree, though, that their s/t cd isn't very good. Have never heard the 'official' debut (wasn't it called Young Man's Blues???)Originally posted by creeper2:

Kinda tough, but I think I will go with EA. Though RCA had Johnny Depp with them and he's pretty cool, and killer in PIRATES. But that recent release of the actual first album by RCA was just terrible.
YMB's was actually a pretty damn solid release. It was more along the lines of a GnR in terms of it being pure RnR, but it leaned more towards the Mountain/Skynard side of RnR than the Stones. It was a very Southern Blues type of thing. If you like Junkyard, then you stand a chance of liking YMB's. But it was a long album (double vinyl I do believe), and by the end it outstayed it's welcome. If you chopped out a few of the songs, it would have lasted better in the memory banks.
The controversy over GnR was actually the main talk back in the day. But now days they seem to live more off of the Depp angle when you read stuff about them, since Depp has been a more positive name in recent years than GnR has been.
Also the main talk about them was the whole Heroin aspect. They used it...a little...ahem.
Funny thing about Electric Angels. My buddy Curt hung out with them when they played here and they all got to talking. Would you believe that this Glam band that we all love so much basically knew NOTHING about the Glam scene. They had never even heard Hanoi until Curt gave them his copy of "Back To Mystery City" to take with them on the road.
I found that rather funny.
